Introductory gallery experiences for preschool children ages 3–4 with an adult

Have creative fun with the preschooler in your life. Introduce your preschooler to the art museum with a fun-filled morning looking at and learning to make art! With museum teachers as guides, children gain exposure to exceptional works of art and learn to experiment with materials. Watch your child’s creative potential and confidence emerge, and learn ways to nurture an appreciation of art. Gallery play dates are great outings for parents with preschoolers, especially those with older children in camps.

July 2: Portrait Party
Find faces in paintings and sculptures. Learn to draw portraits in the museum’s galleries.

July 9: Rojo, Amarillo, Azul
Learn the Spanish and English names for colors you find in the galleries and experiment with color mixing and blending.
