Bonehunters Quarry

For grades 5 and under.
Watch as your students become paleontologists digging for dinosaur and mammal fossils in a setting straight out of Dinosaur National Monument. Students wear goggles and are given tools to help in their search. Museum staff interpret the experience and help identify finds. Reservations may be made for 30-minute sessions.

Scheduling
One class may use the Quarry during each 30-minute session.

Required Chaperones
Preschool and Kindergarten: One adult per five students.
Grades 1 and up: One adult per 10 students.

Fee
$1 per student when combined with a tour or a class, or in addition to museum admission; $25 minimum fee per group.

Hours: Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m.–8 p.m.,
Sunday 12–5 p.m., closed Mondays*

*Open 10 a.m.–5 p.m.on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, and Mondays in the summer between 4th of July and Labor Day.
