Booking Your Visit
When booking your visit, please have the following information with you:

• Group Name
• Group Leader Name
• Address
• Phone/Email/Fax
• Number Attending Tour
• Preferred Visit Date (please have a first and second choice)
• Preferred Visit Time (please have a first and second choice)
• Any attendees with special needs we can accommodate
If you are booking for a school group, please also have the following information:

• Age of Children
• Number of Chaperones attending
• County and School District

All groups (with 10 or more people) planning to visit Carnegie Museum of Natural History are asked to coordinate their visit through the Group Visits Office.  The Group Visits Office can be reached at
(412) 622-3289 Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or e-mail us at GroupVisits@CarnegieMuseums.org.

Scheduling
Registration is required to receive group rates. Contact the Group Visits Office at (412) 622-3289 at least 2 weeks prior to visit in order to receive the discounted rate.

Tour requests may also be made online. School groups requesting a guided tour should use the
School Tour Request Form. All other groups interested in booking a tour should use the general
Group Tour Request Form.

Required Chaperones
Preschool/Kindergarten: 1 adult per 5 students
Grade 1 and Up: 1 adult per 10 students

Required chaperones admitted free; additional adults pay $9 for registered groups or $15 for unscheduled groups.

Fee per person
Self-guided groups who register in advance may pay the group rate upon arrival. Unscheduled groups must pay the general admission fee:

Special Needs Access
The Museum is fully accessible to those with special needs. Wheelchairs are available free of charge. Call (412) 622-3382 for more information. The Discovery Room provides Braille materials.

Dining Options
The Brown Bag Lunchroom is equipped with vending machines. Space is limited and must be reserved well in advance. Contact the Group Visits Office at (412) 622-3289. Boxed lunches are also available for your group. If you are interested in our boxed lunch option, please request more information when you book your tour.

Fossil Fuels, Carnegie Museum of Natural History's snack bar, offers a variety of fast foods. However, seating is very limited.

Groups may also enjoy their bag lunches in Carnegie Museum of Art's outdoor Sculpture Court, weather permitting.

Museum of Natural History Store
The store carries inexpensive items appropriate for student purchase as well as Museum publications. Teachers can pre-order gift bags. Please call for information (412) 622-3309.

After-School Museum Experiences for Your Students
The Museum's doors are still open when the school day is through! Possible after-school activities could include a tour or a class. Call the Group Visits Office at (412) 622-3289 to plan your visit.
