The Katy Trail - Along the Missouri River from St. Louis to Booneville, Missouri, the Lewis and Clark Trail parallels the Katy Trail State Park, a converted railroad grade. Mississippian rocks of the Chouteau and Burlington formations exposed along these trails are world-renowned for their fossil content and have been the subject of numerous scientific studies.
