Question: What is the distribution of [selected mammal]?
Answer: Some mammals are found throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Others have very limited distributions due to such factors as soil requirements, food preferences, or geographic barriers to disbursal.
Maps are shown for each species whose current distribution is known. The larger map shows the counties from which specimens are represented in our collection. The Mammals of Pennsylvania On-Line Resource includes several species that have been extirpated (no longer occur in the Commonwealth). Although some have been reintroduced recently, maps are not provided for these species. Please click on highlighted names to see current distribution for that mammal.
