Common Name: Smoky shrew

Scientific Name: Sorex fumeus

Habitat: Woodlands where soil is rich in decaying leaves.

Diet: Insectivorous.

Interesting Facts: The smoky shrew nests under rotting logs, in rocky crevices, stone piles, and under discarded lumber.
