Dino-CopiaAbout the Design
A cornucopia, or horn of plenty, is a motif for abundance. An appreciation of children’s abundant creativity gives this dinosaur its name. Young children from the Arts & Literacy After-School Program at the Boys & Girls Club in Lawrenceville created this one-of-a-kind dinosaur. Bedecked with sheet music, ballerina slippers, a cello, and the masks of comedy and tragedy, this richly coloSold!red Stegosaurus illustrates an appreciation for arts and music as well as reading and writing. Working with artist Holly Jo Wood, the children conceptualized the overall design and created the series of images themselves. "Dino-Copia" pays tribute to the life-enhancing role of the arts and its importance to children.
