The Grable Foundation's philosophy of supporting education was
demonstrated in a very meaningful way for students of Pittsburgh's
Phillips Elementary School. The foundation donated a DinoMite
Days dinosaur for the students to decorate. The students,
led by art teacher Carl Goldman, developed a concept based on
the alphabet, the building blocks of our language and education.
Students and teachers from throughout the school created the
letters and applied them to the dinosaur.
The Grable Foundation's mission is to help children and youth
to become independent, caring, contributing members of society
by supporting programs critical to a child's successful development.
In order of priority, The Grable Foundation will focus on:
improving educational opportunities so that children
can achieve their potential; supporting community efforts
that create an environment in which children can succeed;
strengthening families so they can serve as the core
support of children and society.
