350-Million-Year-Old Reef

The Snowy Mountains expose one of the finest examples of an early Carboniferous reef in North America. Scientists from the Section of Invertebrate Paleontology have been studying the paleontology and paleoecology of these reefs. (Lewis and Clark, 5/27/1805)
