200 Years of River Migration

Over the past 200 years the courses of the Missouri and Yellowstone rivers have been constantly changing. In this aerial photograph one can see the significant changes of the channels manifested by both rivers. Other older meander scars can be seen at arrows. (Lewis and Clark, 4/25/1805)
