Support our Mission
Powdermill
is alive! We have completed and taken up
occupancy in our new $5 million headquarters facility.
Three major exhibits are featured in the building: the
Living Stream, demonstrating the purity of the recycled water
from our second exhibit, the Marsh Machine wastewater treatment
system, and the long-anticipated Birds of the Ligonier
Valley avian exhibit. Ongoing facility and infrastructure
improvements continue as we attract more researchers and
expand our educational programming initiatives focused on our mission of research,
education, and conservation.
Your gift helps make it possible to fulfill our mission
of:
- Research to help us better understand the ecology and biodiversity
of the Ligonier Valley and the
mid-Appalachian region
- Education to
communicate scientific research and the critical interdependence
between humans
and the environment
- Conservation to
steward the land we hold
You can feel the sense of excitement and possibilities in
the air at Powdermill! We hope you will help us to continue
this momentum with your generosity by making a tax-deductible
donation. Your gift in any amount may be made payable to
Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh and designated for Powdermill
Nature Reserve on the memo line. Please mail to:
