Group Visits—Kids and Schools
At Carnegie Museum of Natural History, learning is an adventure like no other!
Our world-class research and unique scientific collection are at the heart of your group’s class, tour, or gallery experience.
Innovative, science-based programs encourage independent exploration and hands-on discoveries about natural history. There’s nowhere else in western Pennsylvania where your group can learn about science, nature, and world cultures all in one place!
How do I schedule my group program?
Build your field trip around one of our three core programs:
In each program, experienced museum staff orient your group to the museum with focused exploration of the topic of your choice. Core programs are available in a range of topics related to science, nature, and culture.
Register early!
Tours, classes, and skill builders require four weeks’ advance registration.
September–March is a great time to schedule your group visit! All guided tours during these months include touchable objects and hands-on activities that enhance your group’s learning.
April–June is a prime season for school group visits. Touchable objects and hands-on activities are not offered during tours in these months. Book early to ensure you receive your preferred dates!
