We pull out all the stops to please your family or group with our re-imagined sleepover programs! Get the VIP—Very Important Participant!—treatment in these new sleepovers. Explore the nooks and crannies of the museum, have up-close encounters with amazing live animals, and much more when you spend the night with us.

 
  

Sleepover Adventures >

Dig out the sleeping bags and rally your group for an awesome Sleepover Adventure! You get to select three-hours of activities to fill your evening, and our museum educators will help you create a night you’ll never forget! With the chance to bring up to 80 guests for one low price, these overnight adventures can’t be beat!

Mix and match these activities until you have filled your three-hour program

30-Minute Activities

  • Discovery Basecamp exploration
  • Earth Theater viewing of dinosaur-themed video
  • Live Animal Encounter in Earth Theater
  • Luminescent dance party
  • Scavenger Hunt and Skull Identification in Halls of North American and African Wildlife
  • New Spinosaurus meet and greet. Spiny will come visit you and your guests exclusively and you’ll have plenty of chances to snap selfies with our toothy-grinned dino pal (Additional fee required: $150)
  • Snack Time! Bring your own, and we’ll provide the drinks!

1-Hour Activities

  • Dinosaurs in Their Time and First Floor scavenger hunt, and dinosaur fossils
  • Cultural Halls and Third Floor scavenger hunt, and touchable artifacts
  • Fossil Jacketing Course with take-home fossil replica and time in Bonehunters Quarry for fossil digging
  • New Spinosaurus Encounter! A private, interactive Live Show featuring Dr. Dino and Spiny, a 15 foot long 10 foot high interactive Spinosaurus puppet. (Additional fee required: $250)
 

Important Details

  • All Sleepover Adventures participants will sleep in the Halls of North American and African Wildlife.
  • Sleepover Adventures begin at 7 p.m. on Friday and end at 8:30 a.m. the next morning.
  • Sleepover Adventures include admission to Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History on Saturday.
  • Sleepover Adventures do not include snack or breakfast items.
  • There is no minimum number of guests required for Sleepover Adventures. Any combination of children (ages 6+) and adults are accepted. A 5:1 child-to-adult chaperone ratio is required.

VIP Sleepover Adventures >

Go big, or go home with our premium, VIP sleepover adventures at Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Gather your group and spend the night making memories with help from our experienced and enthusiastic museum educators. We’ll guide you through three hours of sleepover activities that you get to select; plus, you’ll enjoy an evening snack, morning continental breakfast, and exclusive access to museum spaces prior to museum opening!
