General
Research Interests:
I
have a great personal interest in educating other artists about
the study and research of mammal anatomy for the purposes of fossil
reconstruction. My background is in graphics and fine art, so I
use traditional media for the initial depiction of these primitive
creatures. Computer graphics then allow me to manipulate the images
so that they can be distributed via various media (print, web, film,
etc.), or used for research purposes. Nature is a constant inspiration
in my production of two- and three- dimensional interpretations
for gallery displays and education through demonstrations, lectures
and workshops.
Responsibilities
- Reconstruction
of primitive mammals and other fauna from the fossil record
- Illustration
of specimens for scientific publications and graphics for
exhibits
- Computer
graphics for lectures, proposals, publications and press releases
- Digital
photography for research purposes and publications
