Early Tertiary Rodents of the Holarctic: Evolutionary and Distributional Patterns

The origin and Paleogene radiations of rodents in the Holarctic are the focus of research projects and field studies which are currently being conducted in North America and Asia. The fossil records of rodents in the Eocene show a very interesting geographic distribution between North America and Asia. The North American Eocene was dominated by paramyid–sciuravid rodents and their derivatives, while the Asian Eocene was dominated by ctenodactyloid rodents.
